WHERE IS GOD IN THE MIDST OF SUFFERING?

Week 4

Identifying Future Leaders

Good Leaders/Facilitators Are People Who:

  • Why? Having an eye on future leaders allows you the opportunity to begin pouring into them in hopes that when the time is right they are able to branch off and lead a group.

  • Like to engage with people in small groups.

  • Are rooted and mature in their faith.

  • Are living a spiritually and morally disciplined life.

  • Are open to the leading of the Holy Spirit within the group.

  • Are good listeners and able to draw people out in conversation.

  • Are passionate about growing people in their faith in areas of prayer, serving, and evangelism.

  • Are able to handle difficult conversations about faith without "preaching."

  • Can ask good questions and guide strong people.

During Your Group:

  • No ice breaker required

  • Debrief about the Prayer Experience in your group time (if you've completed it already).

  • In preparation for Session 5: There is an Enemy (Strongholds):

    • Your group will start together and then (if applicable) will split men and women.

    • Please inform your group that the session could run beyond the 2 hour time frame.

  • Begin to talk about the Serve Experience.

    • This should be after Week 5 and before the start of Week 8.

    • We want to encourage your group to choose a Serve Experience that allows you to interact with people.

    • The Serve Experience is not about inviting people to Third City, but about showing them the love of Jesus.
