The Heartland Celebration is a free event that brings thousands of people of all ages together from throughout Central Nebraska on the grounds of Third City Christian Church. It is an incredibly fun evening filled with entertainment, kid’s attractions, concerts and the first professional fireworks display in the Grand Island city limits.

Freedom Award
(The Cause of the Event)
The Freedom award is presented to a local hero who serves as a first responder, in law enforcement, or in the military who may be going through a particularly challenging time. Officials from the Nebraska National Guard, Veteran’s Administration, Grand Island Police, Hall County Sheriff’s Department and Grand Island Fire Department are encouraged to make nominations. The individuals who receive the award are honored for their service to our community and given a generous financial award to help offset the challenge they are facing. In the past two years, $13,000 has been awarded to the recipients— all from our sponsors!
Family Fun
Come join the family fun, featuring Central Nebraska Inflatables, Horn T Zoo, RockIT Event Pros climbing wall and bungee trampoline, pony rides, face painting, and outdoor live music! There will be a variety of food trucks where you can purchase food and other treats throughout the evening.
Fireworks
The first professional fireworks display within
the Grand Island city limits.
