"An Uncommon Finish" Sermon Series
Philippians 3:13-14 - "One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
  • March 18 - An Uncommon Faith - A day of Good Intentions!- I Tim. 6:6-19
We will come together in our services and as an act of worship and praise consider our part in an "Uncommon Finish".
  • March 25 - An Uncommon Future - A day of Celebration and Anticipation! We will celebrate the results and look ahead to the future.

We are wrapping up Uncommon, a three year generosity initiative that our church family has been engaged in. Those of us who have been giving have been doing so for a single reason: to cooperate with God as He calls people heavenward through Christ Jesus!

When Uncommon began, about 150 families and individuals committed 2.1 million dollars to expand or building and parking. In that period of time, our church has grown by over 30%! Some of them may be your friends, your coworkers and classmates. This simply could not have happened without your the faithful prayers and financial support given.

As we bring Uncommon to a close, would you help us to finish up in a big way and also look to the future? Because we are just beginning — and our focus is not on what we have accomplished — but rather on what God is yet to do through us!

- Would you pray for our church’s next big move as we extend the love of God to our community and world?
- If you made a commitment to Uncommon and are yet to complete it, would you do so?  Or if you were not able to make a commitment, but are grateful for what this church means to you and our community, would you give a special gift?
- And if you are unable to finish it now, don’t worry. Would you simply continue to give until your commitment is completed?
- If you are not doing so, would you take the 90 day challenge to tithe to our church? Throughout the Bible it is clear that God is calling all of us to set aside 10% of what we make for His purposes.

Thank you for being the kind of people who never shrink from the hope you have and for your willingness to share the love of Christ with others. Thank you for being uncommon!

Celebration Services:
Saturday, March 31st - 3:00 and 5:00 PM
(Kid's programming available for nursery - 2 year olds)
Sunday, April 1st - 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 AM
(Kid's programming available for nursery - 5th grade at 9:30 & 11 AM)

The services will focus on the hope that Jesus brings and will resemble what a new person can expect to experience every Sunday as they come to Third City.

Here is how we can make the most of the opportunity
Begin praying about a person that you know needs Jesus and a church home. The number one reason a person attends a church for the first time is that someone invites them. People who normally don’t go to church will go on Easter IF someone invites them. Be their host and show them the ropes!

Volunteer to serve during the weekend!  We anticipate that well over 2,000 people will attend one of the five services. Currently, our biggest need for volunteers is Saturday at the 3:00 & 5:00 PM services.

Strategic Attendance/Parking: - If at all possible, plan on attending one of the two SATURDAY services so that we can have ample room to welcome people who bring friends to Sunday services. If you are physically able, please park on the gravel and on the outer perimeter to leave premiere parking for our guests.

Saturday, March 31st at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM

Our kid's ministry staff and volunteers will share the gospel message with hundreds of people who need to know that hope is found in Jesus. If you have friends who have kids, this is a great event to invite them to!

One way you can be sure our guests have an EGGcellent experience is to provide candy! We need to fill 16 coolers with individually wrapped candy. You can drop off candy at the marked locations Monday through Friday and on Sunday mornings.

Don't miss this EGGstra special opportunity to invite your friends and share the good news of Jesus this Easter! Contact Taryn Kohmetscher for more information.

Heartland Celebration of Freedom
This year’s HCF will be held on Saturday, June 30. Last year, over 3000 people came and enjoyed a fantastic night of music, food trucks, family amusements and fireworks. We honored those who serve as first responders and protectors of freedom here and abroad. We also recognized two first responders with a financial gift to assist them through a rough patch in their lives.  And as always, the event was capped by a grand fireworks display!

Last year was the first year that the event was FREE! That is made possible by generous sponsors. We are currently seeking sponsors for this year’s Celebration. If you or your business would like to contribute, please contact Taylor Jones or Scott Jones

Sunday, April 8th, we will experience a morning of baptisms. Baptism is your natural next step if you are a believer in Jesus Christ. Baptism is your response to His grace. He willingly died, was buried and then raised from the dead on your behalf. It represents your own death, burial and resurrection from sin and into new life. By being baptized, you are saying to God and to those who witness it, “I am God’s and I am committed to Him.”

If you would like to know more about baptism, watch the conversation video on our web site. If you are ready to sign up for baptism, click on the button below, or email Lora Quandt for more information.

Baby Dedication - Saturday, May 5th

We are excited to announce the addition of a celebration event to our May Baby Dedication! This new Baby Dedication Celebration is meant to serve as a way for you as parents to begin thinking about what your child needs most – and we believe that is love. Yes, your love, but more importantly, the love of their heavenly Father. Our hope is that you will make a commitment to raising your child to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. And not only that, but we want to partner with you in this endeavor.

New parents will join us on Saturday, May 5th at 10:00 AM for the Baby Dedication Celebration. On Sunday, May 6th, parents and babies will be introduced to our church family and parents will commit to maintain a Christian home where Christ is honored and the Word of God is held in awe.

What about baptism? Baby Dedication at TCCC does not involve baptism. We believe that baptism is meant to take place at a time when an individual makes a personal decision to follow Christ and is old enough to repent of sin and confess Jesus publicly. Because of the celebratory nature of dedicating a baby, we encourage parents to invite other family members to join them for church Sunday, May 6th.

Registration deadline is Sunday, April 29th. Please contact Taryn Kohmetscher for more information.

Celebration Place is a program that mirrors the Celebrate Recovery large group teaching schedule and curriculum plan. This means that while adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, their kids are discovering the same truths in age-appropriate ways! Celebration Place help children find:

  • Truths that help them avoid cycles of hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
  • Ways to draw close to Jesus during challenging times.
  • Language and experiences to understand whats happening in their homes.
  • Friendships with other children whose parents are taking the hard step of resolving their pain and moving forward in life.

Designed for 5 to 12 year-olds, Celebration Place gives children everything they need to make Jesus the foundation of their lives, break cycles of dysfunction, and join their parents in forgiveness and healing.

With the growth of our Celebrate Recovery family, we need more volunteers for "Celebration Place" Kid's programming. Please contact Connie Hein if you are willing to serve at CR one Thursday a month.
